Public Works Task Force - Rate Setting to Off-Site Trucking
On behalf of the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) for the state of California, AGC of California asks for your assistance in a public works task force effort. The purpose of this task force is to provide information to the DIR of industry practices relating to material deliveries, to construction job sites and off-site hauling, including refuse.

Training Opportunities Bay Area Region Fall Protection Seminar – March 20 Any time your employees are exposed to a fall that is 7 ½’ or greater you must have a “Fall Protection Competent Person” on the job site. This course is designed to provide a working knowledge of the fall protection standard to allow you to make informed, safe and cost effective decisions for the protection of you and your workers, based on the options permitted under the new standard. San Bernardino/ Riverside District Trenching & Shoring Seminar - March 27 Cal/OSHA standards for trenching and excavating require that every jobsite have a “competent person” present at all times who has undergone safety training. This course includes instruction on soil classification, shoring and sloping standards and much more. Executive Leadership in Construction Training – March 30-April 2 AGC is currently offering an intensive, construction-specific educational training program that utilizes a group-interactive format, complete with real world examples and exercises. Taught by our highly qualified industry leaders, this training program will provide the fundamental tools you need for effective leadership and practical application throughout the construction industry. Los Angeles District Fall Protection Seminar - March 31 A large portion of this seminar dives into the inspection, maintenance and cleanliness of equipment, anchorage points and fall arrest devices. This is a very active hands-on course which will require participants to utilize a wide range of fall protection equipment. Tri-Counties District 10-Week STP Class – April 1-June 3 This 10 Week class will teach the concepts and skills needed to make effective decisions and identify and solve problems.
