The California Construction Education Foundation was founded by the Associated General Contractors of California (AGC-CA), to develop and promote educational programs that expand and strengthen the professionalism and effectiveness of people in the construction industry. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit benefit corporation, and rely on donations to carry out our mission.
AGC Education Foundation Workforce Development
Construction is the nation's largest industry and is one with unlimited potential and opportunity. AGC of California through its AGC Education Foundation is committed to advocacy as the "main delivery arm" for training and education throughout the construction industry. Our key is to establish partnerships within the industry to provide outreach among K-12, Colleges/Universities, and Professional Development for the existing workforce.
Careers in Construction
The AGC Education Foundation conducts active school work programs, aiming to equip and educate students of the physical environment and infrastructure’s immense need for knowledgeable, well trained individuals.
K-12
Career Education and Technical Education high schools are supported through AGC by encouraging students to enroll in the construction classes offered by those schools. The AGCC spreads information on these programs as well as providing funding on post high school apprenticeship and trades programs. Currently AGC provides the opportunity for the apprenticeship programs to have direct contact with students by hosting career awareness days throughout CA.
College & Universities – Student Chapters
AGCC supports construction industry related programs through its AGC Student Chapters at colleges/universities with scholarships and networking opportunities promoting the students with contractors.

AGC Education Foundation provides scholarships based on District Management and Board referral process.
