INSTRUCTOR: Global Environmental Network and JoshuaCasey Corporate Training

This course incorporates lecture and hands-on scenarios applying theory to practical workplace situations. A large portion of the class dives into the inspection, maintenance and cleanliness of equipment, anchorage points, and fall arrest devices. This is a very active handson course which will require participants to utilize a wide range of fall protection equipment. This class meets the training requirements found in CCR Title 8, as well as 29CFR 1910 and 1926.

SESSION BREAKOUT:

• Walking Working Surfaces
• Taking equipment out of service
• Approving anchors and anchorage points
• Governing regulations relating to fall protection
• Hazard recognition (why fall protection)
• Traditional fall prevention (e.g. handrails, guardrails, etc.)
• Fall arrest devices/restraint systems
• Equipment selection and inspection

MUST HAVE RECEIVED PRIOR USER LEVEL TRAINING AND HAVE ACTIVE EXPERIENCE WITH/USING FALL PREVENTION EQUIPMENT. EQUIPMENT NEEDED FOR HANDS-ON EXERCISES TO BE BROUGHT BY STUDENT INCLUDES: SELF-RETRACTING LIFELINES, CLASS A FULL BODY HARNESS FOR STUDENTS.
