We originate and coordinate support for bills favorable to the industry, while actively fighting policies or legislation that negatively impacts the construction industry.
The AGC of California is known for maintaining the largest and most robust government affairs team representing California’s construction industry. AGC is the universally recognized voice of the contractor, both in the halls of the State Legislature, and local governments across California. AGC’s Legislative Committee directs the organization’s positions on legislation, and our Political Action Committee (PAC) makes decisions regarding political contributions for both candidates and ballot measures. The APEX Group serves as the organization’s legislative advocates, representing the organization in front of the State Legislature and other constitutional officers.
