Sacramento, Calif. – April 23, 2012 – The Associated General Contractors of California (AGC) and Zurich, a leading property and casualty insurance provider globally and in North America, announced today the two have collaborated to provide insurance services for its members.

“A strategic goal of the association is to expand the association’s insurance program and offer the full gamut of insurances services,” said Associated General Contractors of California chief executive officer Tom Holsman. “Given Zurich’s strong history and vast services they offer, we are pleased to work with them and offer AGC members a complete and comprehensive insurance program tailored to the construction industry at highly competitive rates.”

Under the agreement, Zurich in North America will provide AGC-CA members with insurance solutions for workers compensation, general liability, auto and property coverages as well as comprehensive safety and risk management services.

"Our firm recently selected Zurich as our new workers comp and liability insurance provider,” said John Nunan, president of Unger Construction and current president of AGC of California. “We recognize Zurich is much more than just an insurance carrier. They are becoming a valuable partner in our safety and training programs and a tremendous resource for our risk management staff. We’ve never had our insurer provide this level of service before.”
