Sacramento, Calif. – Online construction training took a quantum leap forward today as the California chapter of Associated General Contractors (AGC) announced a partnership with the online education company Builders Campus to bring its course offerings to California.

AGC of California has long offered traditional classroom training sessions to California construction professionals, but partnering with Builders Campus allows the AGC group to provide a growing suite of management training classes via the internet - so they can be taken via laptop, tablet, or mobile device anywhere there's an internet connection.

“Our members are often extremely busy, or working in remote areas, yet they need a highly trained workforce now more than ever,” said AGC of California Chief Executive Officer Tom Holsman. “The expertise and technology Builders Campus brings to the table allows us to offer the best in construction management training in the most efficient possible manner.”

Builders Campus president Eric Sanderson said the move was a step in the right direction for the construction industry as it integrates with today's highly-technological world.

“Online education is booming in all sectors,” Sanderson said. “AGC California is showing they understand what the future of our industry looks like, and that they, and their members, are ready for it.”

Builders Campus is a nationwide eLearning company that specializes in teaching live, online construction management courses via cutting-edge technology. Students receive all the benefits of a classroom experience, including interaction with instructors and other students, yet they can skip the expensive and time consuming problems of traveling to-and-from the classroom.

“E-learning is becoming a preferred method for delivering education and training for the construction industry,” Holsman said. “By partnering with Builders Campus, we can offer high quality instruction to anyone, anywhere, with ease.”

AGC California joins many other AGC chapters in partnering with Builders Campus, including AGC Las Vegas, AGC Vermont, AGC Tennessee, AGC Colorado, and more. Classes are offered in Project Management, Business Development, Superintendent Skills, and more, and students receive continuing education credits (CECs) upon satisfactory completion of their coursework.
