WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. –Today, the Associated General Contractors of California (AGC) announced the launch of its new Diversity & Inclusion Task Force, a group of industry experts dedicated to advancing AGC’s commitment to increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion across California’s construction industry.
The Assembly Insurance Committee and Senate Labor Committee recently heard three bills (summarized below) relating COVID-19 workers’ compensation claims and creating a “presumption” of work relatedness. While all three bills passed committee vote by a wide bipartisan margin, it is uncertain which ones will reach the Governor’s desk or if they are consolidated into one measure.
Establishing a project team’s culture prior to the first scheduled work activities is critical to the success of a project. Creating an environment that supports open communication necessary to keep a project on schedule is essential to achieve optimal outcomes. To assist in this process, AGC of California’s Labor Relations is available to facilitate a pre-job conference for members.
