One of the most rewarding reasons for pursuing a career in the construction industry is the incredible work cultures formed at California’s contracting firms – cultures focused on camaraderie, giving back, making an impact, and continual growth. However, the most successful companies are those who instill a “Culture of Safety” throughout their organizations.
Build California, designed to engage and activate the next generation of California's Construction workforce, is doing just that! Since Build California's launch, our innovative initiative has reached over 4,000 students, amplified the voices of industry leaders passionate about their careers, connected companies with young audiences, and committed to being a champion of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the industry.

Black History Month presents an opportunity to elevate the voices and stories of Black Americans who have shaped the construction industry and celebrate their impact.

Establishing a project team’s culture prior to the first scheduled work activities is critical to the success of a project. Creating an environment that supports open communication necessary to keep a project on schedule is essential to achieve optimal outcomes. To assist in this process, AGC of California’s Labor Relations is available to facilitate a pre-job conference for members.
