This full day immersive experience dives deep into how to plan and execute construction at the next level our industry has been searching for. Learn about Takt Time, One Piece Flow and Pull and the application of these production principles to construction to help cut lead time and project durations between 20-80%.

Take these concepts to your project the day after this training simulation and feel the difference that will allow your project to run efficiently.

In this training we will break into teams of 15 and build an actual scaled model of a construction project to feel more like construction than any other training simulation. Learn the practical application of Little’s Law to construction. For Any builder in the industry, from Project Managers, Superintendents to Foreman and even Executives. This is the most widespread full immersion construction training in the world, in over 25 countries.

Session will be held on Tuesday December 3 from 8AM – 5PM PT, at the location shown above. Coffee and water will be provided each morning, and a boxed lunch will be provided each day.  Location subject to change, class is subject to cancellation.

About the Instructors

Spencer Easton
Spencer Easton, Lean Innovation Champion (Mortenson)

20 years in the Construction Industry
Experience In Every Aspect of Construction: Laborer, Operator, Concrete Mason, Draftsmen, Project Engineer, Assistant Super, Field Engineer, Estimator, Scheduling Director, Logistics Manager, Manager of Lean Construction Management Bachelor’s degree from Weber State University
Certified in Manitowoc Cranes, Rapport Leadership International, OSHA, PMI, AACE, AGC, AWP, SCRUM, Lean Builder, Acumen Fuse and Risk Analysis certified.
Apply Takt in Construction to over 300 projects. From Residential to Mega Industrial, Commercial and Energy & Infrastructure projects ranging between 500k – $2Billion.
Founded Takt University a company focused on educating and implementing these concepts to the construction industry
Co-authored the book Takt Planning and Integrated Control.
Directs the efforts for Last Planner, Takt Planning and 5S for Mortenson Construction where over 60% of projects use Takt.

Kyle Martinez
Kyle Martinez, Vice President (Construction Accelerator)

Kyle has well over a decade of experience Facilitating and Lean Coaching for Construction Accelerator®, having co-facilitated and scrivened (taken “Live Notes”) on hundreds of Lean Alignment Partnering™ and IPD Alignment sessions.  Kyle has deep experience in coaching and managing over 150 project teams in the Last Planner System® (over $4 Billion total) in design, construction, fabrication and hospital fit-up projects. He is also experienced in facilitating and coaching 5-Why, Root Cause Analysis and 17 other Lean topics, and leading Villego® and “Build This Room” simulations.  Kyle is a corporate member
of Lean Construction Institute (LCI) and has co-trained over 200 LCI members in Last Planner® and Root Cause Analysis at several national LCI Lean Congress and co-trained Root Cause Analysis and Big Room at the LCI Congress.

Andy Fulton
Andy Fulton, PE, PMP, LCI-CPC (Construction Accelerator)

Andy earned a master’s degree from San Diego State University in Construction with a Lean focus, which started him on his Lean Journey.  Since joining Construction Accelerator®, Andy has coached over 15 project teams in the Last Planner System® in design and construction, co-facilitated Takt training and implementation, and helped teams to understand and use Lean tools such Root Cause Analysis, A3 Thinking and Decision Making, as Target Value Delivery, Value Stream and Process Mapping, and Rapid Improvement (Kaizen) Events. Prior to joining the Construction Accelerator team, he spent 10 years as a Naval Civil Engineering Corps officer in construction management and public works operations. He is a Certified Project Management Professional, Certified Scrum Master, LCI Certified Lean Construction Professional and registered Civil Engineer with a passion for helping teams excel and exceed their own expectation.
