Membership in an AGC Student Chapter provides college students and emerging professionals with an opportunity to learn, observe and develop their skills with current industry leaders, in both academic and professional settings.
The Associated General Contractors of California (AGC) and the AGC Construction Education Foundation are proud to offer activities and events designed to enhance a student’s learning experience. Participation in an AGC Student Chapter provides student members with opportunities to:

Student Chapters exist at accredited two- and four-year schools offering programs in construction management, construction technology, and construction-related engineering. Schools must be accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) or the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE). This mentorship program was a perfect opportunity to get a head start on my career. It's about leveraging every chance you get to learn from those who've already paved their way. Learning from someone experienced in the field gives you insights you can't find in textbooks. It's about understanding the industry from the inside out. A goal for us was to find a company that meets my values, showing me that the benefits of the right fit far outweigh just the salary. I would definitely recommend mentorship to others. I noticed there wasn’t a solid place at UC Davis to explore the construction industry beyond the competitive, technical focus of existing clubs. Seeing the success of AGC chapters at other campuses, I wanted to bring those resources and opportunities here. Our main goal is to build a community where people feel comfortable making connections and learning about the industry outside of high-pressure settings
