Tinnovation

Tinnovation is a design and build competition organized by AGC of California, where student chapters construct structures using canned food, which is later donated to charity. Participants must fundraise and collect non-expired canned goods throughout April Volunteer Month through community drives, charity events, social media campaigns, or another avenue. Projects are judged on creativity, craftsmanship, written statements, and use of cans. Winners receive prizes! The initiative not only fosters teamwork and innovation but also supports food security in local communities.

We are proud to announce the winner for Tinnovation in 2026! A huge congratulations to the CSU Fresno Student Chapter for winning first place. They constructed a bulldozer out of the 581 cans that they fundraised, which were then donated to the Central California Food Distribution Center.

Across all the Student Chapters that participated, we were able to collect approximately 2,800 cans. All of which were donated to local food banks to support their communities.

Thank you to our Tinnovation Sponsors!

This is a unique opportunity for Student Chapters to receive assistance with their Tinnovation project and build relationships with local contractors. Sponsors will fundraise cans and deliver them to a local food bank or shelter. If you would like to sponsor a Student Chapter with Tinnovation, view our sponsorship flyer and contact us at chapters@agccsac.net.

A huge thank you to the AGC of California member companies that have adopted a Student Chapter and sponsored their Tinnovation project!
