SUB BASICS Academy
AGC of California is proud to announce the SoCal SUB BASICS Academy, a 10-week hybrid training program designed to strengthen and support small and underrepresented construction businesses across Southern California.
GLAAACC - Greater Los Angeles African American Chamber of Commerce (Los Angeles, CA)
Running April 14 – June 16 and hosted by the Greater Los Angeles African American Chamber of Commerce (GLAAACC), this academy combines in-person sessions at GLAAACC with virtual learning to make participation accessible for busy business owners.
Participants will build essential business skills in 6 key areas, including:
- Banking & Surety
- Accounting & Cashflow
- Safety
- Insurance & Contract Acumen
- Compliance
- Strategic Planning
Valued at $2,000 per participant, the program will be offered FREE to a select 40 applicants thanks to our partnership with GLAAACC. As an added benefit, the course includes direct matchmaking opportunities with AGC General and Specialty Contractors upon completion.
All participants are required to submit an application to prove eligbility.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be a small, emerging, or underrepresented business
- Must perform work in the Greater Los Angeles area or want to expand into the Greater Los Angeles area
- Must attend both in-person events (April 14 and June 16)
- Must attend 80% of the virtual sessions
