A Century Of Progress

Since 1920, we have worked together with our members to provide advocacy, education, career development, and networking opportunities to experienced and next generation construction and contracting professionals. From the moment you become an AGC member, we go to bat for you with state and local governments, while helping you connect with industry leaders through services, innovative programs, and events.

On A Mission

We believe the construction industry is vital to the success of California. Together, our members actively create opportunities to build and strengthen our state. We are passionate about shaping policy, improving industry relationships, and developing our workforce.

  • Advocate for Our Industry

Together we advance our industry. Doing business in California is challenging. A strong industry voice comes through strong advocate members. By standing up for the best interests of our industry, we drive change and create opportunities to build.

  • Address Labor & Compliance Issues

Find assistance navigating the technical complexities of construction. As a member, you have access to expert advice and resources needed to manage labor and compliance challenges. From regulations, negotiations, compliance, or grievances, you’ll be empowered and equipped with the tools to be successful.

  • Build Your Network

Create a powerful network around you. Construction is a relationship industry. Through events, targeted forums, and intentional peer-to-peer conversations, members have meaningful ways to learn from each other and develop important relationships. You will be ready to pursue any opportunity that comes your way.

  • Build Your Competence

Expand knowledge and capacity. Construction is evolutionary. You and your team have access to trainings and education, roundtable discussions, and ways to learn and engage around issues that impact job sites, operations, and your bottom-line. Keep yourself and your company competitive.

  • Meet Workforce Needs

Build your best team. Our current and future workforce expects change. As a member, you have access to tools and resources to help you build the diverse, inclusive, and safe culture you need to attract and retain your desired workforce, including early and exclusive access to future leaders.
