Our Industry, On the Ballot
AGC sponsors two Political Action Committees to provide support for state and local issues. This includes collecting and contributing money to support or oppose candidates and ballot initiatives that impact the construction industry.
AGC-Sponsored PACs
A PAC, or a Political Action Committee, is a type of committee that has been organized for the purpose of collecting and contributing money to support or oppose candidates and ballot initiatives. There are both Federal PACs, which are governed by the FEC (Federal Election Commission), and State PACs, in which California’s is overseen by the California Fair Political Practices Commission. The AGC PAC Committee is composed of AGC members, who vet candidates and issues before allocating funds.
AGC sponsors the following PACs, both are dependent upon donations for funding:
Candidates PAC
This PAC makes non-partisan contributions to candidates who demonstrate an understanding of the construction industry and display behaviors and actions that protect the interests of AGC members and the construction industry as a whole.
Issues PAC
This PAC supports ballot measures and/or proposals that strengthen our industry, either through additional funding sources or policy reform. This PAC also fights measures that threaten or decrease industry-related funding.
