Donor & Grant Manager
SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Senior Vice President, Workforce and Community Development, and Executive Director of AGC CEF, the Donor & Grant Manager is responsible for supporting and managing AGC CEF’s fundraising initiatives. This role focuses on developing and maintaining systems to identify, cultivate, and secure new donors, sponsors, and grant funders, as well as managing relationships and reporting with existing supporters. The Manager will implement strategic fundraising plans, manage records in donor, sponsor and grant funder databases, and ensure reporting compliance with grant requirements, contributing to the financial sustainability and growth of AGC CEF’s programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: included but not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Donor/Grant Research and Development
- Collaborates with internal teams to understand funding needs and align development efforts accordingly and to gather programmatic data for fundraising purposes.
- Conducts preliminary research on potential donor and grant funding opportunities aligned with AGC CEF’s mission and programs.
- Supports the preparation and submission of donation, sponsorship and/or grant proposals and compiles supporting documentation and reports.
- Develops and manages donor and grant prospect and application databases, tracking all donation requests and grant prospect/applications in development as well as current funding status for each.
- Supports logistics for fundraising and donor engagement events, including attendee registration and communications.
- Calendars and monitors all deadlines related to donor/sponsor and grant proposal/application development and submission.
Donor/Grant Management and Reporting
- Organizes internal program teams around grant reporting deadlines and coordinates the development and submission of timely grant progress reports.
- Organizes and tracks fundraising performance metrics and contributes to timely reporting to AGC CEF Board and other key stakeholders.
- Manages the execution of donor and grant funder recognition and appreciation plans.
- Prepares and issues accurate donor/grant funder invoices; monitors and tracks outstanding payments.
- Calendars and monitors all deadlines related to donor/sponsor and grant funder progress reports.
Other Duties
- Represents AGC/CEF at external meetings and events.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; bachelor’s degree preferred. Can be substituted with at least two years of experience of fundraising and/or high-level administrative support. A demonstrated desire and experience working with culturally diverse populations preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: A current CA driver’s license and proof of auto insurance are required.
