Part 1
The Work in Progress (WIP) or Job Schedule is at the heart of financial accounting for construction companies. Learn the key elements of this report and how they relate to each other. Learn how the percent complete method of revenue recognition works. This course will also discuss the difference between markup and margin, and how to book the monthly WIP adjustment entry to revenue.
Part 2
This two-hour course takes a deeper dive into the Work in Progress (WIP) or Job Schedule to help construction financial managers know what to look for on a WIP report.
Identify signs of potential problem jobs. Gain an understanding of how changes in projections affect monthly results. Learn how to account for loss provisions.
