This workshop will cover AGCC members’ most frequently asked questions on prevailing wage requirements including common pitfalls and challenges. Certified payroll, contractor registration, apprenticeship requirements will all be covered. Foundation for Fair Contracting (FFC) will walk attendees through finding wage determinations, forms, and many other useful resources. Also, a special section on what to do if you get a letter from a labor compliance company. The last 30 minutes of the meeting will be moderated Q&A.

Attendees can pre-submit their questions or ask during the session.

About the Instructors

Jesse Jimenez
Jesse Jimenez, Executive Director (Foundation for Fair Contracting)

Jesse is the Executive Director for the Foundation for Fair Contracting, one the oldest and leading fair contracting organizations operating in the northern forty-six counties of California. Jesse has worked in and around the construction industry for over 17 years. He currently oversees FFC daily operations and provides education, training and outreach to the public works construction community. Jesse is passionate about his work and enjoys assisting all stakeholders with their public works needs.

Darbi Griffin
Darbi Griffin, Director of Operations (Foundation for Fair Contracting)

Darbi is the Director of Operations and has worked for the Foundation for Fair Contracting (FFC) since its inception in May 1985. During her 37-year tenure at the FFC, Darbi has been involved in all aspects of labor compliance. She specializes in auditing certified payroll records, worker interviews and worker/employer resolution assistance.
Prior to her employment with the FFC, Darbi worked as a paralegal specializing in corporate filings, Uniform Commercial Code research, and uncontested dissolutions of marriage.
