The course focuses on four essential forms a contractor must understand in order to secure payment for work: Preliminary Notice; Mechanic’s Lien; Stop Notice Claim; and Payment Bond Claim. Learn how these forms apply to both Public Works and Private Works jobs.
- Attendees are provided sample forms and shown how to correctly fill them out. The purpose of each form is explained in a clear and concise way, and a Q&A session will be held to answer any lingering confusion.
- Suggestions on how to collect all sums due (in the event the contractor has failed to use the aforementioned payment rights), and an explanation regarding the penalties a contractor is entitled to should payment be delayed are also provided.
